I have played a number of real money holdem sit-and-go tournaments, winning one. I want to practice playing more but find it difficult.
If I go into the play money tournaments then people play completely differently than they would if real money is at stake. In the play money tournaments I am more often than not in the top 3. Thats the tournaments, when you get to the ring tables it gets even worse.
Does anyone have any ideas on practicing with people who play as they would be at the real money tables? |

Ultimate Bet because the play seems to be more realistic and if you want to start slow you can play sng's for $1 (min deposit is $25).
I've tried it and I liked it but if I'm being completley honest I'm still playing more on my old site, as unrealistic as it is I win a hell of a lot more money!!! |

pokerchamps!
I found it when searching for info on gus hansen's strategies.
it is still in beta test phase and they are offering freeroll tourneys with 10 pots paying top 3. this is the only place that i have found really good realistic play... and i play at ultimatebet also... cards are more realistic than partypoker but there are still a lot of really crappy players at the freerolls. |

| I don't mind, the play money tournaments are usually fairly loose, but I find it a good place to practice being patient. It means that if I get frustrated and make a rash call, then it doesn't matter as it's not my money - it does however tell me that I still haven't got the patience thing down as much as I'd like just yet. |
